14 Year Old Pedestrian Struck by Car and Killed in Antioch

A 14-year old pedestrian was struck and killed by a car as she tried to cross the intersection of Hillcrest and Hidden Glen in Antioch on Thursday evening. The intersection has crosswalks, so it may be the case that the pedestrian was struck while in a crosswalk.

According to investigators, neither speed nor alcohol appears to have been a factor. The decedent has not been identified, but passed away after being flown to a local hospital. If the driver who struck her was negligent, the family of the decedent would have a wrongful death claim against the driver.
