Even Supreme Court Justices Have Rear End Car Accidents

Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia was in a rear-end accident last week, and was ticketed. According to a story in the LA Times, he was following too closely and was unable to avoid hitting the car in front of him.

Most rear-end accidents are the result of the negligent party driving too close to the car in front of him or her, and too fast for the conditions. These accidents are 100% avoidable, and are due only to people driving too fast and not caring for the safety of the people in their car and the cars around them.

Most rear-end accidents result in injury - some serious, some not so serious. If you are in a rear-end accident, you should seek appropriate medical attention right away.
