Los Angeles Attorney Susana Ragos Chung Charged With Fraud in Fake Car Crash Scheme

An attorney from Los Angeles (Susana Ragos Chung) and her office manager have been charged with multiple felony counts of fraud related to an alleged scheme to manufacture car crashes (complete with participants, witnesses, an auto shop and medical providers).  Unfortunately, this is not the first time an attorney has been charged with manufacturing auto accidents.

These fake accidents harm plaintiffs’ attorneys, the legal profession, and all the people who play by the rules.  Attorneys get a bad reputation; drivers pay higher rates and it gives insurance companies a chance to look like the good guys. It is important to note that Ms. Chung has not been convicted or entered a plea, so she is obviously not yet guilty.
